Whilst we can’t guarantee that just because it is summer there will be sunshine, we can guarantee that this summer Kingsmead Leisure Centre will be offering you more. There will be more family swim sessions, more swim school places and more classes added to our programmes. That means that there are more reasons to visit Kingsmead Leisure Centre this summer.

We know that the centre is looking a little different nowadays and thank you for your patience during the demolition phase of the transformation project. We are delighted that the work is progressing well, with the demolition now complete, you will see the centre entering into the exciting rebuild phase in August. Centre Manager, Derek Hambidge said “We’re delighted that the work is progressing well and our members are still enjoying the opportunity to use the swimming pool and attend our group class programme. Throughout the Summer we have increased the number of family swim times available so that more people in the local community can enjoy some important time together.”
